Grand Bateau Bordeaux

Grand Bateau is a delightul Claret born from a collaboration between esteemed négociant Masion Barrière and Château Beychevelle. Produced since the 1980s and sourced from a number of sites around Bordeaux, this red is a blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, displaying all the complexity and nuance of Clarets at many times the price. Vinified in both oak barrels and stainless steel vats, this is an elegant and well-structured red that shines with aromas of red fruits and spice. Expressive in its youth yet capable of ageing for years to come, this is one of the best value wines we've discovered in years. 

On the nose, expressive and alluring with a bouquet of red plum, blackcurrant, oak spice, and earth.

On the palate, velvety tannins are balanced by juicy fruit flavours and a delightful acidity. Wonderfully balanced with a long and lingering finish.
