At least 2L-sized large and thick Nanko-ume fruit from Kishu are slowly steeped in cane spirit with sugar for about a year. With a very soft flesh, the macerated fruit are characterized by its rich aroma and delicious tart notes.
Umeshu is a traditional Japanese liqueur made from ume fruit. Its taste is beautiful balanced sweet and tart with notes of almond. The secret is in the ume fruit. It can be enjoyed as an aperitif or after a meal.
