Irish gin Drumshanbo Gunpowder is made from extracts of 12 botanicals, gunpowder green tea, citrus fruits (grapefruit, lemon and lime), spices and berries (juniper, angelica roots and iris, cumin and coriander seeds, meadow queen, cardamom and star anise).
Spices and berries are slowly distilled in copper stills while citrus and Gunpowder green tea (dried and rolled leaves) are infused.
The gin that results from this technique is incredibly balanced, very fresh with floral and spicy notes.
Nose: fresh and spicy, juniper, citrus, star anise and a touch of gunpowder green tea.
Palate: round and sweet, marked by gunpowder green tea, coriander and citrus fruits.
Finish: long and spicy.
