Chateau Lascombes 2009 is a deep, brilliant purple colour, still showing some violet glints. Fresh, delicate and fruity on the nose, with subtle aromas of spices and black fruits mingling with notes of roasted coffee beans. The palate is initially clean yet soft and velvety, leading to a mid-palate that is dense, powerful and elegant, bursting with well-ripened black fruits. The oak comes through but with great finesse and it integrates subtly with the wine. The tannins are silky and the long finish is beautifully complex.
